How the estimates are produced
Supported meter-to-yard results use conversion factors published in Appendix C of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Rules Book. Supported yard-to-meter results divide by the corresponding published meter-to-yard factor. The reverse calculation is a convenience provided by Swim Converter, not a separately published NCAA conversion table.
Results are truncated to one hundredth of a second without rounding. Direct SCM-to-LCM and LCM-to-SCM conversions are not offered in the current version.
Not an official result
Every converted time is an estimate for reference only. It is not an official race result, qualification time, meet entry or guarantee of athletic performance. Meet hosts, conferences, governing bodies and championship organizers decide whether and how converted times may be used.
Always check the applicable meet rules and the latest official documents before using a converted time for entry, eligibility or qualification.
Sources and third-party standards
Rules, standards and reference information can change. The current NCAA rules, USA Swimming materials, World Aquatics materials and the rules of the relevant organizer take priority over explanatory content on this site.
NCAA, USA Swimming, World Aquatics and other organization names, standards and publications belong to their respective owners. Their inclusion does not imply sponsorship, endorsement or affiliation.
Intellectual property
The original design, explanatory writing, software and branding of Swim Converter are owned by the site operator or used under applicable licenses. You may use the calculator for personal, coaching or informational purposes, but you may not copy, republish or resell substantial parts of the site as your own service.
Service provided as-is
The site is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. We do not guarantee that every result will be error-free, that every event will be supported or that the service will always be available. To the extent permitted by law, the site operator is not liable for losses or decisions resulting from use of, or reliance on, the calculator or site content.
